pesniško branje in pokušina vina/ poetry reading and wine tasting

Berejo/Poetry by: André Velter (FR), Žiga Golob (SI), Matej Bizjak Petit (SI)

Povezuje/Moderated by: Janina Kos

French poet André Velter (1945), winner of the Goncourt Prize for poetry (1996), began his journey across Europe and the Middle East already in 1955. His poetry displays a varied and colorful relation to the places, sounds and rhythms of the cultures he has visited. Velter experiments with polyphonic poetry which he presents at various poetry recitals, often accompanied with dance and instrumentation.

Žiga Golob is a double bassist and electric bass guitarist. A keen improviser and provider of bass parts to the more conventional song forms. He can be heard on over 80 albums and read in one collection of poetry.

Plesna skupina s posebnimi potrebami skupnosti Barka deluje pod mentorstvom Nataše Tovirac že 13 let. Uspešno nastopajo in navdušujejo plesne odre širom po Sloveniji; celo na državnem nivoju, saj so bili na festival plesne ustvarjalnosti Živa s svojimi plesnimi miniaturami uvrščeni vsa zadnja štiri leta. Barkine plesalce odlikuje neposrednost in predanost ustvarjanju in delu, so hkrati odločni, nepredvidljivi, igrivi in polni idej.

The special needs dance group of the community Barka is active under the mentorship of Nataša Tovirac already for 13 years. The group has successfully performed on stages across Slovenia and was in the past four years even included in the Slovene Živa Festival. Barka’s performers are incredibly direct and entirely devoted to creating in dance; they are determined, unpredictable, playful, and full of ideas. By performing for us they also make an invaluable contribution to the society in which we live today, which is in dire need for accepting difference, openness, tolerance, and simple humanity.

Contemporary dance is an exceptional means of communication, allowing anybody to participate in a creative process as best as one can. The aim of the series of workshops titled Generations was to introduce contemporary dance to those who do not work in the field of dance and to form intergenerational links between the participants through creation. Children, youth, and the elderly from the Prekmurje Region participated in a creative process led by two acclaimed Slovene choreographers Branko Potočan and Matjaž Farič. Presenting contemporary dance without unnecessary superiority and elitism, such as it is, the participants’ exceptional hard work can be put side to side to top notch performers.

Glasba/ Music: Byetone- Topas

So le še sledi in spomini na včeraj,

preden je njegovo senco zamenjal njen obraz.

Look back… Something may have remained behind your steps.

The dual no longer exists. Only traces and memories of tomorrow, before his shadow was replaced by her face.

ČE SEM TO, KAR SO ONI MENI

IF I AM WHAT THEY ARE TO ME

Alja Ferjan (SI)

»Vdihnem svobodo, izdihnem sebe. V daljavi, v glavi neštetokrat ponovila, la la la.«

»I breathe in the freedom, breathe out myself. Death does not give me fear, the fear brings itself to me. I hear myself on the outside, but the closest is the memory. Only you who are ugly can obscure this memory, though you are opening your eyes afresh…and if the white bells don’t ring, the shelf will keep the dust, devouring it, forever silent. In the distance, repeating in the head innumerably la la la.«

Koncept/Concept by: Tuula Jeker, Ilona Jäntti

Koreografija in izvedba/

Choreographed and performed by: Ilona Jäntti

Animacija/Animation: Tuula Jeker

Glasba in oblikovanje zvoka/

Music and sound design: Tuomas Norvio

Oblikovanje luči/Lighting design: Ainu Palmu

Muualla/Nekje drugje preiskuje možnosti, kako v predstavi v živo združiti animacijo, cirkuške veščine in ples.

Muualla/Elsewhere explores the possibilities of combining animation, circus and dance in a live performance context. The project was initiated and designed by architect and animator Tuula Jeker and choreographed and performed by Ilona Jäntti. The interaction between the animation and the performer enables a dialogue between the real and virtual worlds; animated environment and emerging creatures are affected by the performer and vice versa. Circus artist Ilona Jäntti and architect and animator Tuula Jeker have been working together since 2007. Their first performance, Muualla/Elsewhere, has been touring since 2009.

Izhodišče so bile barve prostorov, ki močno zaznamujejo arhitekturo Plesnega centra. Pod vodstvom hrvaškega plesalca Nina Bokana in slovenskega video umetnika Mateja Kolmanka je nastal video zapis improvizacij pred kamero.

In the Dance Communication Lab, which took place in the Zagreb Dance Centre from October 28 to October 30 2011, the dancers investigated the relationship between architecture and bodies. As their starting point they took the colours in the Dance Centre’s rehearsal space which make a significant imprint in its architecture. Led by Croatian dancer Nino Bokan and Slovene video artist Matej Kolmanko, the dancers’ improvisations have been recorded on video.
