The programme of the Front@ festival is the peak of the ice mountain of our wishes and plans. What we shall see at the festival is only a view through a narrow window of a vast field of extraordinary artistic achievements in (contemporary) dance. The width of this frame depends on undesirable restrictions and the programme guidelines. Unfortunately, a lot of performances have been left out due to such restrictions, although they would deserve to make up the programme’s core.
Thanks to the fascinating dose of talent, this year’s festival programme is focused on the body that reaches beyond its limits. The body capable of forming thoughts without a single word and making poetry through movement. Be it a thrilling virtuosity, amazing ideas, young perspicacity or immense subtlety, this year’s performers abide by their approaches without any compromises, for which they deserve all our praise and admiration.
So much talent. You need to see this! And, of all places, in Murska Sobota, which provides a special platform allowing the participating artists and performers to be much closer than is usually the case.
