Maayan Danoch pogosto izvaja svoje interdisciplinarne projekte v galerijah in na zunanjih, javnih površinah. Telepatska dela so primer mentalno-telesne prakse, prek katere dve osebi vstopita v izmišljen sočuten odnos druga z drugo. Iščejo načine, kako sprožiti našo sposobnost skupinske zavestne in fizične povezanosti, in potrditi dejstvo, da je telepatija nekaj povsem naravnega in ne le nadnaraven fenomen. Ker je dogodek umeščen v javni prostor, dodatno spodbuja zavedanje o prisotnosti neverbalne komunikacije in želi izpostaviti povezovanje med ljudmi na neobičajen, »telepatski« način.

Maayan Danoch often performs her interdisciplinary projects in galleries and outdoors, in public spaces. Telepathy Works are an example of a mentally-physical practice by way of which two persons engage in a fictitious sympathetic relation with each other. They explore the ways to induce our capacity to consciously and physically connect as a group, and support the fact that telepathy is something perfectly natural and not a supernatural phenomenon. Being held in a public space, the event additionally intensifies the awareness of nonverbal communication, focusing on connecting people in an unusual, “telepathic” way.

Poljub, točka stika, ki je obenem meja in iskra. Je trenutek in trenje surove, živalske volje, ki se lahko zlahka spremeni v privolitev in dajatev. Predstava Ne, poljubi se osredotoča na analizo zasvojenosti in razmerja soodvisnosti.

A kiss, a point of contact that is both the limit and the sparkle. It is a momentum and friction of a raw, animalistic will that can easily be transformed into concession and imposition. The performance Don't, Kiss wrestles with the analysis of addiction and the relationships of codependency.

Vse, kar je nad ali onkraj človeškega; imeti višjo naravo in izredno moč. Božansko, izjemno, nadnaravno, heroično, herkulejsko, vsemogočno, bionično. Predstava super[človek] je gibalni pristop k »nadgrajenim« telesom naše prihodnosti in njihovim oblikam (so)bivanja. Trije kiborgi, hibridna bitja, ki se raziskujejo in se sprašujejo o človekovi kvaliteti in postčloveškem svetu.

superhuman (suːpəˈhjuːmən)
Everything that is above or beyond what is human; having a higher nature and exceptional power; godlike, extraordinary, supernatural, heroic, Herculean, omnipotent, bionic. The performance super[human] is a movement/physical investigation of “enhanced” bodies of our future and their forms of (co)existence. Three cyborgs, hybrid beings, exploring themselves and wondering about human qualities and a post-human world.

Limbični sistem spaja višje mentalno delovanje in primitivna čustva v enoten sistem – emocionalni živčni sistem. Ta ni odgovoren samo za naša čustva, temveč tudi za višje kognitivne funkcije, kot so učenje in oblikovanje spomina. Predstava Limbično se navdihuje pri delovanju možganskega sistema, in sicer takrat ko človek žaluje in travmira. Jedro vsebine torej izhaja iz zanimanja za izjemno raznolike načine izgub in oblike žalovanj v življenju.

The limbic system combines higher mental functions and primitive emotions into a single system – the emotional nervous system. This is not only responsible for our emotional lives but also higher cognitive functions, such as learning and formation of memories. The performance Limbic draws inspiration from the brain system processing grief and trauma. It stems from the interest in extremely different human experiences of loss and grief in life.
