The Flock of Experienced Birds (SI)
What does it mean to turn over a new leaf in life? How does the pulse of the city look like through children's eyes? Will the swallows come back soon? When will I go for a walk again? Do you see that blossoming cherry tree? Do we love our city? How does it develop?
After a successful flight over Kranj with the representatives of the third-age-generation, the Flock of Experienced Birds moves elsewhere, to share and spread its impressions, experiences and stories to the inhabitants of other Slovenian towns. The Flock of Experienced Birds equally reveals the views and memories of all its representatives and creates within this dialogue and connection a unique story of Kranj, which flies this time over Murska Sobota. It subtly describes the changing image, captures memories and the social pulse of the city, subject to personal experiences and impressions. With its emphasised subjectivity, this first-person narrative unfolds the multitude of coexisting perceptions of an individual place and event and thus addresses with sensitivity change, passing, memories, closeness, interdependence and connection. Despite the intimacy and uniqueness of these views, they can be general enough for us to indirectly recognise ourselves in them, as well as feel the beauty of mutual differences and our vulnerability and use the Flock from Kranj to look at our town with fresh eyes. Stories, experiences and adventures take place on headphones and thus the Flock of Experienced Birds invites its visitors to move from the role of an observer and listener to a temporary community and upgrade it with their presence.
