YYoann Bourgeois: FUGUE / TRAMPOLINE

An impressive short dance piece of floating and falling

Immersed in Metamorphosis Two composed by Philip Glass, Fugue / Trampoline is a stunning dance performance that challenges the laws of gravity and weightlessness. Somewhere between circus and poetry, a man and an object, transforming an ordinary movement into something exceptional. Between balance and a lack of balance, the dancer reaches a state of freedom. In this visual poem, Bourgeois reinvents a sensitive movement towards the point of suspension. The moment of the absolute present. The moment preceding the fall. Weight-free.
