We offer you short and intense Dance Challenges at Front. The requirements? A little bit of dance memory and lots of love for dance. In the morning we will wake the body up with yoga.This will be followed by contemporary dance technique, where physique will be challenged by unorthodox dance combinations and a play between organic and inorganic moments. The awakened body will tickle the mind at the follow-up workshop where we will be kneading structures, exercising thinking patterns and questioning the rules. More challenges for the dancing body and mind will come in the form of the evening programme of dance performances and talks with their creators well into the night, which will conclude with relaxed dance vibrations.

Maja Kalafatić graduated from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. She takes part in several original pieces as a choreographer and dancer and cooperates with other artists. After returning to Slovenia, she completed a 2-year Yoga teacher class in the Devi Yoga Centre. Maja teaches contemporary dance technique at Intakt and Yoga in Devi and Parinama Yoga centers, as well as at the Dance Theatre Ljubljana.

Robert Clark is a choreographer, performer and teacher working internationally across Europe and Northern America for the past decade. He is an Associate Artist with The Place, London and a Resident Artist at Greenwich Dance Agency. His work has notably been awarded the Simone Michelle prize amongst others and he has made commissioned works for a wide range of companies (most recently Beyond Front@ 2012-2014, SEAD’s Bodhi Project 2014, EDge 2014, Nottdance Festival 2013). As a performer he has worked with artists/companies including Sasha Waltz and guests, Cie Soit, Cie Felix Ruckert, Le Grand Jeu, Vincent Dance Theatre, Charles Linehan, Ben Wright/BGroup and many others.
