Vodoinstalater je komorni balet po motivih Borisa Viana, francoskega pisca, pesnika, skladatelja in šansonjerja, za katerega je značilna močna ostrina črnega humorja. Ustvarjalce je navdihnila njegova zbirka novel Mravlje, po kateri so ustvarjalci oblikovali libreto in partituro. Predstava se nahaja na preseku med glasbenim materialom (5 instrumentov), petimi glasbeniki ter plesnimi intervencijami, ki jih izvajajo dve plesalki in dva plesalca. Liki v Vodoinstalaterju se izražajo tako skozi igro kot tudi ples, celostna podoba pa deluje predvsem kot gibalna predstava. Pretresljiva zgodba o mestih in časih, ki jih vojna ni nikoli doletela, zato so oni doleteli njo. Vodoinstalater je zgodba o običajnih ljudeh, ki jih je vianovska percepcija spreobrnila v pošasti ali vsaj čudake, je tako imenovani črni balet.


Vodoinstalater (The Plumber) is a chamber ballet after the motifs of Boris Vian, French writer, poet, composer and chansonnier, known also after his pronounced flair for black humour. The creators were inspired by his short story collection “Mravlje” (“The Ants”) and wrote a libretto and partiture based on this story. The performance is positioned at the cross-section between music material (5 instruments), five musicians and dance interventions performed by two female dancers and two male dancers. The figures in The Plumber express themselves both through the play and dance and the overall image is that of a movement performance. This is a deeply moving story about the cities and times never touched by a war, so they touched the war instead. The plumber is a story about ordinary people turned into monsters or at least queer persons through Vian’s perception, and is the so-called black ballet0
