»Svojo globoko žalost in ranjeno srce je želel posredovati skozi preproste pomene, a na žalost je bil izjemno netalentiran pesnik. Transformacija se zgodi v obliki preprostega verza in meja med tragedijo in komedijo, ko se dvorni norec prikaže, je izjemno tanka. Tako kot je nevidna ločnica med pošastnostjo in lepoto, naravo in virtualnim, med igranjem in pristnim bivanjem. Premeščeno telo, z vsemi svojimi zmožnostmi, na koncu postane pesem sama.« Eno poglavje Orlandovega življenja je bilo uokvirjeno s poezijo. Stephanie Cumming sledi literarnim motivom Virginie Woolf in se navezuje na družbeno strukturo spolnih vlog ter poljubnostjo našega občutka za čas in neprostovoljnega/nehotenega spominjanja.


»He wanted to communicate his deep sorrow and bleeding heart through simple meanings, but unfortunately, he was an extremely untalented poet. Transformation happens in the form of a simple verse and the borderline between the tragedy and comedy, at the moment when the court jester appears, is extremely thin – but such is also the invisible separating line between monstruosity and beauty, nature and virtual world, feigned and genuine existence. A dislocated body with all its abilities ultimately becomes the poem itself. One chapter of Orlando’s life was framed by poetry. Stephanie Cumming follows the literary motifs of Virginia Woolf and makes reference to the social structure of sexual roles and arbitrariness of our feeling of time and involuntary/unintentional remembering.
