OPUS 1 – plesna miniatura: Predstavitev izbranih plesnih miniatur s tekmovanja mladih plesalcev / OPUS 1 – dance miniature: Presentation of dance miniatures from Young dancers competition

OPUS 1 – plesna miniatura, ki v organizaciji Javnega sklada RS za kulturne dejavnosti (JSKD) in njegove celjske območne izpostave poteka v Celju že od leta 1992, se je v zadnjih letih razvila v privlačno in odmevno prireditev, ki spodbuja mlade plesalke in plesalce v starosti od 9 do 24 let k samostojnemu ustvarjanju. Spopadajo se z malimi plesnimi oblikami: avtorskim soloplesom in kompozicijami za največ tri plesalce. Namen tekmovanja mladih plesnih ustvarjalcev ni razvijanje tekmovalnosti, temveč ustvarjalnosti mladih plesalcev. Poudarjeno je samostojno delo, vloga mentorja v razvoju miniature pa je svetovanje, vodenje in usmerjanje otroka/mladostnika v oblikovanje lastnega plesnega izraza in v samostojno koreografsko delo.

Vsako leto je za OPUS 1 razpisana drugačna tema in tema za OPUS 1 – plesna miniatura 2010 se je zazdela skoraj neizogibna, saj je bilo leto 2009 zaznamovano s smrtmi treh velikih, za ples izredno pomembnih ljudi: Pine Bausch, Mercea Cunninghama in Michaela Jacksona. Mladi ustvarjalci so »preučili« te pomembne avtorje in njihovo delo ter k temi in vzornikom v spomin pristopili na različne, sebi lastne načine.

OPUS 1 – dance miniature, which has been taking place in Celje since 1992, organized by the Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Cultural Activities (Javni sklad RS za kulturne dejavnosti – JSKD) and its Celje regional department, has evolved in an attractive and resounding event in the recent years, encouraging young dancers aged 9 to 24 years to try independent creation. They are tackling small dance forms: author solodance and compositions for not more than three dancers. The purpose of competition of young dance creators is not engaging in competition race but rather enhancing the creativity of young dancers. The emphasis is on independent work, the mentor’s role in developing a miniature is advising, directing and guiding the child/young person towards developing his/her own dance expression and towards independent choreographic work.

Every year, a different theme is set for OPUS 1; the theme for OPUS 1 - dance miniature 2010 has been almost an inavoidable choice because the year 2009 was marked by the death of three great persons, extremely important for the dance: Pina Bausch, Merce Cunningham and Michael Jackson. The young creators “studied” these important authors and their work and addressed the theme in the memory of their role models in different and original ways.
