WHYWOULDANYONESTOPME is about one’s path and the paths that cross it. These encounters form events, created by the reactions of the people who have met. Matjaž Farič presents the author dance solo with numerous performers whose presences bring autobiographical fragments into the shift, the move, and the trance of the dancer. The performance as a synthetic process does not wish to function as a nostalgic reminiscence but aims to contemplate the past through irony and self-reflection which – owing to the participating dancers –adds a moment of current happening on the Slovene stages. Matjaž Farič invited dancers who have, since 1986, participated in his performances. These drive, disturb and interrupt the action which is rounded by the individual’s predetermined path and is crossed by the music of Kleemar & därectalchex. Primož Jesenko
