Pet dni pete Fronte prinaša največji festival sodobnega plesa v Sloveniji. Poteka na robu države, kar mu daje še posebno težo. Z letošnjim festivalom se končuje prvo obdobje delovanja mednarodne mreže Beyond Front@, s pomočjo katere je festival postal viden tudi mednarodno. Zato nas še posebej veseli, da k nam prihajajo tudi gledalci iz Avstrije, Hrvaške in Madžarske. Skupaj z domačimi obiskovalci soustvarjajo pomemben del programa Evropske prestolnice kulture 2012.

Poleg vpogleda v vrhunsko sodobno plesno produkcijo se na festivalu predstavljajo tudi šole sodobnega plesa ter izjemni mladi plesalci. V teoretskem delu pa se srečujejo vidni teoretiki in organizatorji, zato je Front@ tudi pomembno mesto srečevanja. Tako festival Front@ umešča mesto Murska Sobota na kulturni zemljevid Evrope.

Front@ sodobnega plesa je umetniški festival, katerega cilj ni samo zabavati, temveč odpirati pomembna vprašanja o našem svetu in bivanju.

The major festival of contemporary dance in Slovenia offers five days of the fifth Front. It takes place on the outskirts of Slovenia, which gives the Festival a special significance. This year's Festival concludes the first operation period of international network Beyond Front@, which has helped the Festival gain identifiability at international level. We are therefore particularly pleased that the Festival is visited also by the spectators from Austria, Croatia and Hungary. Together with the domestic audience, they co-create an important part of the programmes of the European Capital of Culture 2012.

Apart from the insight into the top level contemporary dance production, the Festival also provides presentation of different schools of contemporary dance and superb young dancers, while its theoretical section brings together well-known theoreticians and organizers, therefore Front@ is also an important meeting place. In this manner, the Festival Front@ places the city of Murska Sobota on the cultural map of Europe.

Front@ of contemporary dance is an art festival whose aim is not only to entertain, but also to open important questions on our world and existence.
